Jillian Hall is a lyricist!
The former Divas Champion spoke to Ring the Belle and confirmed that it was indeed her that wrote Sliced Bread – her theme music. When asked who came up with the song, Hall stated:
”That was me, I wrote that song. I wrote that and it makes me mad because they didn’t give me credit for it. I wrote that song word for word and all he did was put the music to it….I was singing it at first and I was like, let me write this down…on the tour bus I did ‘I’m the hottest thing since sliced bread,’ and then I wrote ‘the entire loaf.’ And everybody popped huge, and I was like this is a hit.”
Hall goes on to talk about her matches with Melina, Mickie James, Gail Kim, and more. She discusses feeling a bit jelly but happy for where the women are at today. They also discuss her return during the 2021 Royal Rumble which was the number one fan voted moment of her career.
